What Is The Minimum Required Age To Work As HGV Driver?

Where Will The Training Take Place?
The location of your training depends on the training school of your choice. Part of this training will be done online or via video conferencing platforms. Other parts will require you to take practice tests remotely, on your computer. In-person training takes place at the school and the driving practice takes place in the surrounding areas. Which CPC Do I Need?
You can’t become an HGV driver without your Driver CPC. If you don’t have your Driver Qualification Card, you’ll have to start by taking the Driver CPC qualification before being eligible for the HGV Driver’s training. This qualification includes both theory and practice tests. After you get this qualification, you have five years to complete your required number of hours of practice. This is as low as 7 hours per year, so you should be able to make room for it in your schedule.
