PROSPERITY FOR THE HOLIDAYS

Recently I was asked to speak to a group on the topic "Prosperity for the Holidays" and I began to dive right in.

As a prelude, I'd like to ask you to begin by taking in a deep breath and then releasing. Take in another deep breath now and let go.

The word Prosperity is defined by Webster's dictionary as "successful, flourishing or thriving condition, especially in financial respects; good fortune".

Now, if you've been reading my writings for any length of time, taken the opportunity to study quantum physics or been introduced to the laws of the Universe, you recognize and know that YOU ARE YOUR GOOD FORTUNE!

Everything you think, say and do determines your destiny and the reality you see reflected in the world around you. There's no mystery or magic here.

The formula is simple: ASK. BELIEVE. RECEIVE.

All the abundance, health, love, peace, joy and prosperity you could ever imagine are already yours!

What holds us back from manifesting our heart's desires is, too often, our inability to believe and to know that we are powerful co-creators. There's also the conditioned ideas from society and the people around us that tend to focus our thoughts on the "not enough" idea.

Here's my question to you: When I asked you to take a breath as we began, did you hesitate for fear that there might not be "enough" air? Was there any idea that, perhaps, your supply would not be there for you? Did your mind go to a place of panic and fear with thoughts of lack, limitation, competition, or the need to win?

My guess is that the thought never occurred to you, so you freely and fully breathed in to receive your supply. The same thing is true when it comes to money. Money is simply an energy, and when we operate with the certainty, the knowingness that our rich share is available to us at every moment without question - with absolute certainty - we are placing ourselves in the vibration to receive.

When we are in a natural, relaxed state of receiving our full supply and then releasing and sharing without any thought or concern - just as with our breath - we create the space to receive even more. We are in the flow. We are in a prosperity consciousness.

It all begins with your consciousness, what you believe you deserve to have or experience. This is your Truth because this is what you create.

Now, you can change your consciousness at any moment in time by what you give your focus and emotional energy to. One very powerful way is to visualize what you desire as if it has already happened with all of your senses, feeling the joy and celebration of what you have chosen. When you are desiring something, it is particularly beneficial to visualize and experience the mental movie just before you go to sleep at night as well as several times throughout the day. This is a great time to program your mind for success, to give your consciousness new patterns to create. Do this as a practice regularly every day until you become comfortable with the feeling of being, doing, and having what you desire. When you have claimed it, the Universe must respond and your reality must change as a direct result.

And let's not stop there. The idea of Prosperity moves beyond our financial wealth and encompasses everything that allows us to be successful, flourishing and thriving, those things and experiences that truly make our life rich in every way.

"Holiday" is defined by Webster's as "of or pertaining to a festival, joyous". Have you ever considered what your life would be like if you celebrated each and every day as a joyous festival? Every day that we breathe is a gift, so every day is a Holiday - a time for great celebration. If we lived each day from this perspective instead of confining our rejoicing to only certain days that we have marked on our calendars, our entire world would change.

My friend, James Lloyd, has spent a great deal of time with hospice workers to find out what people are concerned with as they are preparing to leave this earthly plane.

Maybe you've heard it before, but the questions everyone focuses on have nothing to do with bills being paid, money in a bank account or material wealth. Here are the questions that people spend their last days and hours contemplating:

1. Did I give and receive love?
2. Did I play my music? [In other words, did I express my unique gifts
     and blessings - did I do what I came to do in this lifetime?]
3. Did I make a difference in the world?

As so many are caught up in giving presents this season - those delightful packages wrapped in bows with splendor - I'd like you to consider that what most people are truly craving is your presence - your time, your kindness, your patience, your compliments, your acknowledgment, your friendship.

BE present as you go out in the world and BE generous, BE mindful, and BE the gift that so many need to receive. Express gratitude, open a door, smile, yield in traffic, talk to others around you, and participate fully and generously in life. BE your prosperity NOW and answer those 3 questions every day with a resounding YES!

This is a time of the year when we are reminded of the miracles and magic of life and living. Hannukah with the miracle of the lamps, when there was only enough oil for one day and yet they burned for 8. Santa Claus. The birth of Jesus Christ. Ebenezer Scrooge. The Miracle on 34th Street.

Begin today to let that joyful anticipation of miracles and magic be part of every breath that you take!

As I've written many times before, we are going through a transition on this planet - a great evolution of consciousness and a shifting of paradigms. We are in the midst of change on many different levels.

And, so, as we head off to our holidays and move beyond 2007, I leave you with these words of wisdom and an invitation to participate:

"Anything you do from the soulful self will help lighten the burdens of the world. Anything. You have no idea what the smallest word, the tiniest generosity can cause to be set in motion. Be outrageous in forgiving. Be dramatic in reconciling. Mistakes? Back up and make them as right as you can, then move on. Be off the charts in kindness. In whatever you are called to, strive to be devoted to it in all aspects large and small. Fall short? Try again. Mastery is made in increments, not in leaps. Be brave, be fierce, be visionary. Mend the parts of the world that are within your reach. To strive to live this way is the most dramatic gift you can ever give to the world."
