ARE YOU READY TO LIGHTEN UP?

With the holidays of December behind us, we now have an opportunity to reflect on the messages and wisdom we can take with us as we move forward into this very unique and dynamic time of life on our planet.

Hanukkah, the Festival of Lights, celebrates the miracle of lamps that had only enough oil for one day, and yet they burned for 8, just the length of time it took to process, prepare, and consecrate new oil.

Kwanzaa celebrates with 7 candles - one for each of the 7 principles of life: Unity, Self-Determination, Collective Work and Responsibility, Cooperative Economics, Purpose, Creativity, and Faith.

The Winter Solstice, the shortest day of light on December 21st, began the welcoming of daylight back to our world.

Christmas celebrates the guidance of Light, the miracles and magic of living. It is also a very powerful reminder of what is called Christ Light, not referring to Jesus Christ, but rather the Divine Light often represented by halos around the head in paintings.

If these reminders weren't sufficient, Comet McNaught arrived earlier this month as the brightest comet in 30 years.

And the messages become clear:

• We live in a world of light.
• There is enough here, more than enough.
• The Universe is supporting you and providing for your every desire as you are willing to believe and to receive.
• It is time to embody the principles of Light within us.
• It is time for you to remember who you are and to believe in magic and miracles once again.
• It is time to become the Light that you already are, that you always have been.
• It is time for you to let your Light shine bright!

Though the human eye cannot recognize or perceive it, we are all beings of Light. Every cell of our physical body at the atomic level is simply energy and energy is a vibration. Vibrations are, in fact, Light.

And if you could see yourself from a higher perspective, you would see that you are a great body of light. We all are. For a special reminder, visit http://www.youarethelightmovie.com/.

The Upanishads tell us "There is a light that shines beyond all things on Earth, beyond us all, beyond the heaven, beyond the highest, the very highest heavens. This is the light that shines in our heart."

So in this moment know that you are enough. Nothing is withheld from you. Nothing is lacking in you.

It's simply up to you to claim your Divine Right as a conscious creator on this planet. The power and the light are within YOU.

As I've said before, this is not Motel 6 and no one is leaving the light on for you.

It is your right and your responsibility to turn your own Light on and to step fully into the knowing, the certainty that you can create the life you love to live.

Now, at the same time that we are being encouraged to become the Light, we have been given opportunities to dump out and clear away negative patterns from the past on every level - physical, mental, emotional and spiritual.

Many have experienced flu symptoms, eating habits have changed along with the need for more sleep, completing with people or experiences, confronting belief patterns and thought habits that are no longer relevant, and generally recognizing more clearly than ever before those things in our lives that just no longer work.

This deep purging is giving us all the opportunity to release and let go of the past and negativity, setting ourselves free from the unnecessary burdens we've carried so long.

We are, in fact, being given the chance to Lighten up so that we can be a channel for creating the new reality for our world.

And the floodgates have opened up now, almost instantaneously creating in great waves all that we choose.

If you are ready to Lighten up, here are some definite and valuable suggestions:

1. DECLARE who you are and who you intend to be. HONOR all that makes your heart sing and CLAIM your right to live a life full of passion, purpose, and prosperity.

2. CHOOSE what you desire. Be very clear, definite and specific.

3. FOCUS on what is right in the world and on your vision of what you are consciously creating. Take your eyes and mind entirely off of anything that is unlike what you have chosen.

4. BELIEVE. Echoed in almost every religion and tradition is the idea of faith. The Bible perhaps says it best with this famous quote: "Therefore I tell you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe that you have received it, and it will be yours." (Mark 11:24)

5. RECEIVE. Open your arms wide and enter into a state of constant Gratitude.

6. FORGIVE. Release. Let Go. Stop any judgment of yourself or others. Change your old habits of thought and action. Leave your baggage behind. You don't need it anymore.

7. BE the Light that you are and recognize the Light in others, as well.

This IS your time, so let your Light shine bright!
