ASK AND YOU WILL RECEIVE

It was two days before Christmas and there I was, standing in a long line waiting to buy a gift certificate. A small circle of us gathered and the talk turned to the topic of the day: holiday parking in Santa Monica. Or, rather, the lack of it.

Everyone around the circle was telling their special story of woes - all the public parking lots were full, it took 40 minutes to find an open space in a garage, and one woman even admitted to parking in a handicapped spot. Then they turned to me.

"I just drove up and pulled into the space that was waiting for me on the street," I said.

Needless to say, no one was particularly overjoyed with my experience of ease and flow, and that brings us to an essential lesson in conscious creation.

You have a choice. You can buy into the illusions of lack and limitation that most people seem to see, or you can choose to create your own reality. It's all up to you by the power of what you think, say, and do.

And, sometimes, not everyone around you will be as delighted as you are with your great success.

This is not the time to play small, to try to justify, or to minimize your good. You do not need to apologize for being in the flow and consciously creating. This is the time to step fully into your power, and to accept with grace and gratitude how magnificent you are and how masterfully the Universe responds to your every request. This is the time to CELEBRATE!

Always, when we are choosing, it is important to be clear, definite and specific so the Universe understands our request and can deliver it to us in a wonderful way.

And, yet, sometimes we may not receive what we believe we have ordered from the Universe. In the creative realm, we never have to settle for less than what we desire. That's the beauty of being clear, definite and specific about what you choose. You recognize it when it shows up.

We can simply ask again and re-clarify, if necessary, what we have chosen.

Let me share two practical examples.

Earlier this month I purchased a new laser printer and it wasn't doing what it was supposed to. I called Technical Support at the company (who shall go unnamed) and was connected with a gentleman who tried to help. We loaded new software, tried a number of other solutions, and nothing was fixing the problem. He finally said he would have to call Apple (I'm a Mac person!) to find out if they had any ideas. He called back a short time later and left a message telling me my computer had a problem and would have to be taken in for servicing.

This was not the answer I chose to receive, so I simply called the company again.

This time, I connected with a delightful man who immediately understood the problem and what to do to resolve it. In less than 5 minutes with a couple of quick changes, my new system was off and running in perfect order! Quick, easy, and joyful!

Which brings me to another demonstration. At the end of October my internet connection went down and I no longer had any access. (Thank goodness for wireless connections!) After multiple calls to the provider that didn't resolve the problem, I brought out my technical guy Paul to help me and even he had no success. After a month of frustration and endless hours on the phone, I finally switched to another provider and cancelled my service. When I got my bill I called the old company for a credit on the service I hadn't received, and was told they couldn't make any adjustments.

Again, this was not the answer I chose to receive, so I called the company back. In fact, I had to call back FIVE TIMES until I finally connected with the person who gave me the answer I desired - full and immediate credit!

Now, I have to be honest with you and tell you that the situation with the internet provider brought up some things we all need to remember. When I was focused on the problems, frustrated with the lack of results, and angry with the people who were not responding the situation only got worse! When I recognized what I was creating and was able to refocus on the perfect solution, visioning myself working with ease and comfort in front of my computer, the entire issue was taken care of almost immediately!

Which brings us to these important points. Conscious creation is a right AND a responsibility. What you focus on expands. What you expect is what you get. What you give emotional energy to comes back to you multiplied. Desire + Emotion = Creation.

As you move forward in the days ahead to create the life you love to live, here are some valuable suggestions:

1. CHOOSE what you desire. Choose powerfully and positively. Be clear, definite and specific.

2. EXPECT the very best. If you receive something you do not desire, simply choose again.

3. Keep your FOCUS on the solution and what you have chosen, and take your eyes entirely off any idea of a problem.

4. KNOW that your good is waiting to be delivered to you NOW.

5. Open your arms wide to RECEIVE all the peace, joy, love, prosperity, health, and abundance that you have created!
